6-4-3 DP Baseball Takes A Swing At Breast Cancer

For the fourth year in a row, the teams of 6-4-3 DP Baseball celebrated Mother’s Day weekend in special fashion.  For the third year, other teams also partnered with 6-4-3 DP Baseball in their Mother's Day initiative.  To honor mothers, bring awareness to an issue familiar to many, and raise money for research, players and parents alike sported pink jerseys, shirts, hats, and socks over this special weekend.  One hundred percent of the proceeds generated through the sale of the Mother’s Day apparel were donated to It’s The Journey, Inc. to support breast cancer care, prevention and research.

In 2013, the families of 6-4-3 DP Baseball, along with the West Forsyth Diamond Dawgs, North Georgia Rays, and Georgia Jackets tallied over $4,000.00 of funds raised.  A special thanks goes to the talented duo of DJ and Marla Huyck for spearheading and coordinating this special 6-4-3 Mother’s Day fundraising effort.  Another special thank you goes out to the West Forsyth Diamond Dogs for hosting a special and supportive 12U Mother's Day event.
