Spartak Baseball Club trains with 6-4-3 DP Baseball in Marietta, Georgia

Marietta, Georgia –

Through the efforts of Ken Vanderpoel and Atlanta International Umpires, 6-4-3 was honored to serve as host to the Spartak Baseball Club from Moscow, Russia, last week.  The student-athletes (ages 7-12 primarily) and coaches with Team Spartak had a full week of baseballand of cultural and social activities coordinated by Atlanta International Umpires.  During Team Spartak’s stay in Atlanta, 6-4-3 was privileged to have the opportunity on two occasions to train our new baseball comrades from overseas.  On Saturday March 22, Danny Pralgo, along with players and coaches from the 13U Cougars squad, led Team Spartak in a defensive skills workout at Aviation Sports Complex in Marietta, Georgia.  On Friday March 28, 6-4-3 instructors – Danny Pralgo, Ryan Sterling, Nelson Pedraza, Taylor Hightower, and Ric Bishop – led Team Spartak in a hitting clinic again at Aviation Sports Complex (Marietta, GA).  On Friday, former Atlanta Brave Ron Gant covered the hitting clinic in his role as Good Day Atlanta anchor with FOX 5 Atlanta.  To view the very nice television piece on Team Spartak's visit to Atlanta, please click here.

6-4-3 is grateful to Ken Vanderpoel and Atlanta International Umpires for creating the opportunity for us to share the great game of baseball with our new friends from Moscow.  6-4-3’s skills clinics with Team Spartak were both made possible by The 6-4-3 Foundation, the charitable arm of 6-4-3.  The mission of The 6-4-3 Foundation is to enhance the lives of children and families through sports.  The 6-4-3 Foundation looks forward to more partnership opportunities in the future with the outreach efforts of Atlanta International Umpires.
