FORMER 6-4-3 DP BASEBALL STANDOUT EARNS SAVE IN CAROLINA LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

Former 6-4-3 DP Baseball standout, Matt Price, earned the save and helped his Salem Red Sox team capture a Carolina League Championship this past Tuesday night by throwing two scoreless innings in the finale. Matt is currently in the Boston Red Sox (High A) minor league system and posted an outstanding, regular season 6-0 record on the hill along with a 2.41 ERA. Matt is a 2008 graduate of The Walker School in Marietta, Georgia, and played for the 6-4-3 DP Cougars in 2007 and 2008. Matt signed a scholarship to play for Virginia Tech out of high school and was later drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 8th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft.
