The 6-4-3 DP Baseball 12U age group has experienced great success so far in the first three weeks of the Cooperstown Dreams Park tournament held in Cooperstown, NY.
In week one, the 6-4-3 DP Cougars (12U) had a great weekend, finishing in sixth place out of 104 teams. The Cougars made a strong run, going 8-1 during the week only to get knocked out in the elite eight by the SY Titans who were the #1 seed going into bracket play. Dominick Blaylock also won the “Road Runner” contest, beating out 103 other competitors with a 12.5 second run in a race to see who had the quickest time from home to home. The 6-4-3 DP Tigers (12U) also made a good run in bracket play, winning 4 straight games and making it to the sweet sixteen only to get put out by the same team that eliminated the Cougars. As a team, the Tigers also finished 2nd in the “Around the Horn” team competition.
In week three, the 6-4-3 DP Jaguars (12U) have been shining bright as well. Jaguar’s slugger, Kyle Gray, won “King of Swat” honors, by belting 6 homeruns in the final round of the homerun competition. Pictured below, Gray gets a big hug from his mom after the competition.
The 6-4-3 DP Jaguars (12U), pictured below, also won the “Around the Horn” team competition with a time of 20.15 seconds. This is where each team is timed on how quick they can get the ball around the horn to all 9 defensive positions. We wish the Jaguars good luck as they are currently 3-1 and sitting in 18th place in the tournament.
