6-4-3 DP Baseball's 10U Cougars Win USSSA Wear the Rings NIT tournament in Carrollton, GA

Congratulations to the 6-4-3 DP Cougars (10U) for winning the USSSA Champs Wear the Rings NIT tournament this past Sunday in Carrollton, Georgia.  The 10U Cougars finished 2-0 in pool play in their first tournament of the year, putting themselves in good position as bracket play began.  The 10U Cougars beat the Georgia Clippers by the score of 10-2 in the first bracket game as a balanced offense supported the pitching of Carson Kerce and Bernard Moon to advance to the semi-final game.

In the semi-final game and beyond, the Cougars pitching stole the show.  KK Towe threw a no hitter in the semi-final game and held the OTC Explosion to only one base runner over three dominant innings as the Cougars won by the final score of 12-0.  In the championship game, the Cougars turned to Kenton Collier for the start on the mound. Collier and Braden Pierce each pitched two innings of no hit ball while the Cougars collected RBI's from Kerce, Ramsey Robertson and AJ DeMastrie to claim the championship by the score of 6-2.  All 12 players for the 10U Cougars pitched in the tournament and the squad outscored their opponents 44-12 over the five games played.  Congratulations to the 10U Cougars players and coaches for their great start to the fall season.
